Parental consent

This explains what you're agreeing to when you approve your teen's YardShift account through the link we emailed you.

What you're approving

Your teen has signed up to offer lawn mowing and/or snow shoveling jobs to homeowners near your home, within a radius they've chosen. Approving their account confirms:

You're their parent or legal guardian; you're aware they'll be doing paid yard work for homeowners in your area found through the app; and you consent to the account being active until you decide otherwise.

What stays off until you approve

A teen account can't claim jobs, appear in a homeowner's search, or receive job notifications until you approve it. There are no exceptions to this gate.

Payment

Once payment processing is live, payouts for a minor's completed jobs are intended to be linked to and controlled by the parent/guardian, not the teen directly — that flow isn't built yet, and this page will be updated with specifics when it is.

Your ongoing role

You can request a copy of your teen's YardShift data, or ask for their account to be deactivated, at any time — see the privacy policyfor how. A self-serve parent dashboard to view your teen's activity directly is planned but not built yet.

Declining instead

If you'd rather not approve the account, use the Decline option in the same email — your teen is notified respectfully, and nothing about their standing on the platform is affected by a decline.
